Experienced in a full range of directional drilling services for oil & gas, telecommunications, electrical and water & sewer applications – in the most challenging and environmentally sensitive locations – our services consist of:
- Experience, versatility and environmental responsibility in all types of soil and project conditions.
- Complete crossing design and installations under waterways, wetlands, environmentally sensitive areas and congested urban environments over one kilometer in distance – or up to two and half kilometers utilizing intersect technologies.
- We maintain a fleet of rigs ranging from 36,000 to 1,000,000 lbs. of thrust/pullback and 5,000 to 90,000 lbs. of torque.

An environmentally sound solution in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), Air Drilling is ideally suited to sensitive environmental installations in fractured formations, loose soils and other unsuitable geological formations.
Our system utilizes pneumatic percussion tools that are similar in concept to a standard jackhammer except that it operates at a higher frequency of percussions per minute; as much as 2,200 beats per minute. Powered by high volume air pressure, Air Drilling does not utilize drilling mud – greatly reducing the potential for environmental impact. Only a minimal amount of water 2-4 gallons per minute is introduced into the air stream for transmitter cooling, hammer lubrication, dust suppression and hole cleaning.
Think of the air as a continuous supply of mud that does not need to be cleaned up or disposed of. Air Drilling also has greater penetration compared to conventional rock systems, providing production in a wider range of conditions than possible with conventional methods. The service greatly diminishes the drilling conditions that are considered to be difficult or unfeasible for HDD. Drilling rock is still tougher and more time consuming than drilling in dirt, but these tools are much more efficient than conventional drills in these situations. Installations that would have been considered impossible just a few years ago are now routine with Air Drilling techniques.
